Los Gozosos

On Thursday, May 14, after spending the morning in Antigua, the work teams visited Los Gozosos, an orphanage for special needs children. Los Gozosos means "the joyful ones."

There are currently 11 children living at Los Gozosos, which is at full capacity. They do not have the funds to take in any more children.

Daniel was very friendly, and one of the few children who is mobile; most are in wheelchairs.

This tiny building serves as a schoolroom for four of the children.

While we were there, the director asked if we could lend a hand. Some dirt needed to be moved.
